AMA-Certified Medical Assistant - PRN

Job Summary As a vital member of the clinical team, you will perform patient care duties within the scope of your certification, assist with treatments and procedures, and facilitate patient flow. You will communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff to maintain a high standard of care. Key Responsibilities Carry out provider orders accurately and timely. Assist with treatments and procedures, ensuring proper consent is obtained. Notify patients of test results as directed. Document patient complaints, vital signs, and prepare patients for exams. Administer immunizations under provider supervision, adhering to legal guidelines. Maintain accurate records and manage electronic health documentation. Coordinate referrals and ensure timely processing. Stock exam rooms, manage medication samples, and maintain cleanliness and infection control standards. Participate in special projects and support a positive team environment. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited certified medical assistant program. Licenses and Certifications Current Medical Assistant Certification and Licensure as required by the state. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 90 days of hire. Skills and Abilities Strong knowledge of medical assistant duties and patient care techniques. Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate documentation. Effective organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to collaborate with healthcare providers and team members. Work Environment This part-time position offers 8-hour shifts within a 40-hour workweek.
