RETIREMENT SERVICES CLIENT CONSULTANT As a Retirement Services Client Consultant, you will play a crucial role in generating new business and managing a diverse portfolio of clients. You will be the main point of contact for both new and existing customers, presenting tailored product proposals and identifying opportunities for business growth. This position is centered around fostering strong client relationships and ensuring their needs are met with the highest level of service. Key Responsibilities: Provide an exceptional customer experience while overseeing your assigned book of business and cultivating lasting relationships with clients. Collaborate with UMB Portfolio Management and Research to thoroughly understand market dynamics, selection of investment managers, and results-oriented strategy implementation. Conduct regular meetings with clients to review investment plans and strategies, effectively communicating market trends, performance, and any regulatory changes that may affect client decisions. Consult with plan sponsors to develop educational programs for participants that reflect client objectives and facilitate financial literacy. Establish and maintain networking relationships to ensure a continuous pipeline of prospective business opportunities. Meet and exceed annual revenue goals for designated accounts or territories. Utilize a CRM tool to manage and track client information and interactions. Communicate the unique advantages of UMB products effectively, ensuring clients understand how UMB Retirement Services stands out in the market. Provide specialized expertise and collaborate with bank leadership and other departments as required. Complete all mandated training, including annual E-Learning plans and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) training, while staying current with BSA regulations relevant to your role. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field preferred, combined with relevant experience. A minimum of 5 years in the financial services industry, including at least 3 years in a sales capacity. Experience in Retirement Plan Services is highly desirable. Comprehensive understanding of financial markets, asset allocation, and financial products; experience with investment manager selection is a plus. Prior exposure to defined contribution retirement plans and knowledge of ERISA, DOL, and IRS regulations are required. Strong comprehension of plan design, compliance, testing, and industry standards. Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with exceptional organizational and client service abilities. A commitment to providing unparalleled customer experiences to clients and colleagues is essential. CFA, CIMA, QPFC, or CFP certifications are preferred. Compensation Range: $110,250.00 - $235,810.00. This range reflects UMB's standard for the role; compensation may vary based on location, experience level, and other relevant factors.
