Our facility is looking for a committed PCU Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care within a secure correctional health unit. What You'll Do: Float to various Oncology Medical-Surgical (MS) and Progressive Care Units (PCU) as needed, providing versatile nursing support. Ensure safety and security in a correctional environment for Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections (ODRC) inmates. Administer medications using Pyxis systems and document patient care accurately in EPIC. Monitor and interpret telemetry data, manage IV therapies, and support complex patient needs, including oncology diagnoses. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology, and respiratory services, to deliver comprehensive patient care. Adhere to safety protocols, including BLS certification, and manage emergency situations effectively. Required Skills: Valid RN license in the state of practice. Epic charting experience is essential. Strong knowledge of telemetry, IV therapy, and medication administration. Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias. Competence in respiratory support like CPAP/BIPAP, ABGs, and oxygen therapy. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. BLS certification positive. Nice to Have Skills: Oncology nursing experience or familiarity with cancer patient care. Experience working in correctional healthcare environments. Experience with oncology treatments, hematology, or surgical patient management. Familiarity with Pyxis medication systems. Preferred Education and Experience: Minimum of two years of medical-surgical or telemetry nursing experience. Oncology nursing experience preferred but not required. Current BLS certification is mandatory. Other Requirements: Ability to work rotating day/night 12-hour shifts, including weekends, based on unit needs. Willingness to float to various units within the correctional facility. Valid Ohio RN license; additional certifications are a plus. Candidates must be comfortable working in a secured correctional environment with strict security protocols.
