Champion Communication Across Generations - Step into Your New Role as a Speech Language PathologistOverview Imagine embarking on a journey where your next career move allows you to amplify voices - quite literally! As a Speech Language Pathologist in one of New Jersey's most engaging cityscapes, you will do more than treat communication and swallowing disorders. You'll be unlocking human potential, instilling confidence, and fostering connections that matter - whether it's guiding a child in articulating their first syllables or assisting older adults in regaining their ability to communicate with loved ones. This role presents an extraordinary opportunity to work with individuals of all ages in an environment that melds outpatient therapies with the occasional inpatient engagement. If you're enthusiastic about pediatric communication dynamics, adult neurogenic disorders, or the subtleties of geriatric cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation, this is the ideal place for your passions to flourish. What You Will Do Conduct comprehensive evaluations for children, adults, and geriatric populations using established assessments and observational methods. Create customized treatment plans addressing both short-term objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs. Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges. Work alongside physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to develop collaborative care strategies. Educate patients and families to promote progress outside the therapy sessions. Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless care along the entire treatment pathway. Document accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to state, federal, and organizational regulations. Engage in continuous education and collaboration to stay updated with the latest advancements in the field. Education Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Required Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within the first 30 days of employment. Skills Needed Strong background in evidence-based treatment modalities for patients of all ages, with profound knowledge of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing conditions. Superb interpersonal communication skills for engaging with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams. Ability to tailor therapy techniques to accommodate an array of cultural and linguistic needs. Impressive clinical acumen and problem-solving skills. Comfort with electronic medical records and documentation protocols. Perks and Benefits Competitive salary that reflects your expertise and dedication. Flexible schedules that promote work-life harmony and diverse caseloads. Chance to specialize in various fields, including pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics. Paid time off (PTO) and generous holiday pay. Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options. Support for continuing education and professional growth. A collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere focused on delivering quality care and lifelong learning. A Career that Inspires Movement - In More Ways Than One In this rewarding position, you will do more than provide speech therapy; you will join a caring community dedicated to nurturing voices, enhancing communication, and infusing joy into the lives of those you serve. You'll collaborate with colleagues who treat each other with kindness, surrounded by an environment that cherishes teamwork over competition. Every individual you encounter has a journey; we'll trust you to help mold how it unfolds.
