RK&K is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Land Development Project Engineer to join our talented engineering team. In this role, you will be essential in crafting innovative design solutions for our municipal clients, ultimately contributing to community development and enhancement. The perfect candidate will possess a robust understanding of civil engineering principles, hold a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, and excel in CADD and Civil 3D software. Key Responsibilities Develop comprehensive construction documents, facilitate permit acquisition, and provide support during the construction phase on multi-disciplinary teams. Collaborate effectively with project managers, designers, and team members to create compliant and innovative site plans in alignment with applicable regulations and standards. Utilize CADD, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and related software to produce detailed drawings, layouts, and models for stormwater management, erosion control, land development, and utility design projects. Conduct thorough site investigations and assessments to gather critical data for design initiatives. Devise innovative, sustainable solutions for site development projects, focusing on stormwater management, grading, utility systems, and environmental impact. Generate design calculations, technical reports, and feasibility studies to support project proposals and submissions. Interact with regulatory agencies to secure the necessary permits and approvals for your projects. Engage in client meetings and presentations to convey project requirements, progress, and design solutions effectively. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assure the seamless integration of site development designs with other project elements. Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules to ensure projects are delivered timely and within budget. Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices to enhance the quality of your project deliverables. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution. Professional Engineer (P.E.) license. Minimum eight (8) years of progressive experience in site development/land development across public and private sectors. Proficient in CADD and Civil 3D software for site design and drafting. Strong command of civil engineering principles and design standards. Experience in designing stormwater drainage systems, erosion control, and utilities for municipal projects. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail. Effective written and verbal communication skills for client interactions and teamwork. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Familiarity with relevant regulations, codes, and standards in site development. Demonstrated capability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
