A Day in the Life of a Speech Language Pathologist with WesleyLife At Home: Your day begins by reviewing your visit schedule and preparing for each client's unique goals. Because you're working in-home, you get a full picture of your clients' lives-their routines, challenges, environments, and strengths. This context enriches your therapy and allows your interventions to be practical and personal. As a PRN Speech Language Pathologist, you'll play a key role in supporting the health, happiness, and daily experience of the residents at Wesley at Home. Your duties will include: Comprehensive Patient Evaluation Assess speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities in the home environment Identify functional strengths and challenges that impact daily living Personalized Therapy Planning Develop tailored treatment plans based on evaluation findings and patient-centered goals Address communication, cognition, and dysphagia needs with a whole-person approach Evidence-Based Intervention Delivery Provide individualized, targeted therapy to improve communication, cognitive function, and swallowing safety Integrate therapy strategies into clients' natural routines and environments Education & Collaboration Educate patients and caregivers on strategies to support communication and swallowing at home Coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team including nurses, PTs, OTs, and care coordinators As a Speech Language Pathologist at WesleyLife At Home, you'll experience the daily reward of seeing progress happen in real-time and make meaningful moments with those we serve.
