Join us in our mission to create a healthier future. Job Overview We are thrilled to invite applications for the role of Director, Medical Affairs and Clinical Research - Oncology. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned and passionate professional to play a key role in guiding and managing clinical studies while building strong relationships with investigators and thought leaders in the oncology field. Key Responsibilities Lead the strategic development and execution of comprehensive clinical development programs aligned with product development plans, adhering to scientific rigor and regulatory standards. Provide extensive education and support to investigators, study personnel, and team members engaged in clinical projects. Oversee clinical study teams to ensure study integrity and effectively communicate safety and efficacy data analysis. Present research findings at international scientific and regulatory meetings. Establish and nurture relationships with academic researchers, industry partners, thought leaders, and advocacy organizations. Contribute to regulatory submissions by authoring clinical study sections for INDs, NDAs, and other relevant documents. Collaborate with Drug Safety & Pharmacovigilance to assess and comprehend the safety profiles of drug candidates. Stay updated on disease areas through literature reviews, attendance at scientific meetings, and engagement with stakeholders. Contribute to writing manuscripts and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve publication goals. Maintain the highest ethical standards while complying with regulations and guidelines. Participate in due diligence activities supporting business development efforts. Work alongside Discovery colleagues to design and implement translational strategies as needed. Engage in meetings with the parent company and affiliate organizations. Build strong partnerships with internal teams, external collaborators, and affiliates. Work closely with late-stage development teams. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned. Core Competencies Proficient in managing complex clinical research programs independently. In-depth understanding of clinical trial methodology and regulatory compliance. Strong leadership, collaboration skills, and a focus on team performance. Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Excellent problem-solving skills, adaptability, and attention to detail. Qualifications Must possess a Medical Degree (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), or an equivalent qualification. Completion of a residency program is highly preferred. Subspecialty fellowship training is a plus. Experience in blood cancers or solid tumors is an advantage. A minimum of 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical drug development is required. The competitive salary range for this position is $236,100 to $295,100, inclusive of a comprehensive rewards package that features performance-based salary increases, participation in short-term incentive plans, a 401(k) plan, and diverse health insurance options. Our generous time-off policy includes flexible paid time off, 11 paid holidays, additional time off during a company shut-down in late December, and 80 hours of paid sick leave annually. Total compensation will vary depending on experience, skills, and relevant qualifications.
