Responsibilities: Take ownership of back-end services including fleet management, front-end applications like WhatsApp and Instagram, and infrastructure components that enable Meta's AI advancements. Write and review high-quality code, develop comprehensive documentation, and tackle complex debugging tasks on some of the world's largest systems in real time. Participate in an on-call rotation with your team, acting as an escalation point for service incidents. Collaborate with top-tier engineers on groundbreaking projects; the code you create will directly impact billions of users around the globe. Minimum Qualifications: 6+ years of experience withnix (Linux or UNIX-like OS) and strong foundational knowledge of networking. 6+ years of professional experience in coding with industry-standard programming languages (Java, Python, C++, PHP/Hack, Rust, Go). Demonstrated ability to learn new software, frameworks, and APIs effectively. Experience in capacity planning for Internet service architecture and quick resource augmentation. Familiarity with web technologies and Internet service architectures such as LAMP/MEAN stacks, CDN, and load balancing methods. Proficient in configuring and managing infrastructure applications like Kubernetes, Terraform, MySQL, etc. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Preferred Qualifications: BS or MS in Computer Science. Compensation: $154,000/year to $217,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits.
