Make a Difference as a Dialysis Patient Care Specialist Join our dedicated team at US Renal Care, where as a Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional care to patients undergoing renal treatment. Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN), you will engage in essential activities that positively influence patient health and comfort. Your Impactful Responsibilities: Patient Care: Deliver safe and high-quality dialysis treatments, which includes gathering vital statistics before and after procedures, initiating, monitoring, and concluding treatments, as well as collecting blood samples as instructed by medical professionals. Technical Excellence: Prepare dialysis machines to ensure optimal performance while upholding cleanliness and safety standards. Conduct machine safety checks and maintain detailed quality control records. Commitment to Safety and Quality: Follow strict safety protocols while utilizing personal protective equipment and adhering to all regulatory guidelines. Participate in ongoing education and staff meetings to continuously enhance your skills. What We're Looking For: A genuine passion for healthcare and a compassionate approach to patient care. Previous experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is advantageous. A willingness to safely handle acids and bicarbonate solutions. The ability to distinguish primary colors. Essential Requirements: Successful completion of the USRC training program within 8 weeks of employment, demonstrating competence in hemodialysis. CPR certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire, as per state regulations. Patient Care Technician certification to be acquired within 18 months of employment, with maintenance in good standing as required. Join Us to Create Positive Change!
