About the Job Concrete Carpenter Specialist General Description: We are looking for a skilled Concrete Carpenter Specialist who will be responsible for a variety of carpentry tasks related to prepping, pouring, placing, and finishing concrete. This role involves erecting and setting forms for various concrete structures including foundations, buildings, and site work as per specifications and drawings. You will work with concrete tilt-wall forms, symon forms, and structural forms for columns, decks, elevator cores, parking garages, and more. Join us and bring your expertise to our dynamic team! Responsibilities: Read and interpret drawings and prints accurately. Build and assemble wood or metal forms for concrete construction projects including floors, slabs, walls, columns, tilt-walls, elevated slabs, elevator cores, and stairways. Set and place forms to exact elevations and locations, assisting in the installation of reinforcing steel when necessary. Utilize various materials and forming systems, primarily symon forms. Verify structural accuracy using tools such as plumb bobs, carpenters levels, lasers, and digital transits. Erect scaffolding and ladders to assemble structures above ground level. Communicate effectively with the Foreman, Riding Boss, or Project Manager about any issues, required materials, or identified safety hazards. Ensure all equipment is in safe working condition. Assist in signaling concrete delivery to ensure efficient pouring. Adhere to and promote all safety policies and guidelines. Provide assistance with concrete placement as required. Carry out additional duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the construction or contracting industry. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. Meticulous attention to detail.
