Department Overview The Service Design Tools & Infrastructure team is essential to Centralized Managed Support Operations (CMSO), delivering innovative service design and technology solutions. In this role, you will be part of the AI & Architecture team within D&T. Job Description We are looking for a Lead Data Science Expert to lead the Artificial Intelligence & Analytics stream at D&T. As a subject matter expert in AI and ML, you will craft analytical and machine learning models that inform strategic business decisions. Your responsibilities include collecting user requirements and transforming them into AI solutions that improve both internal and external user experiences. This role encompasses integrating solutions with core platforms such as Salesforce and ServiceNow, alongside developing bespoke ML models for preventative system health checks and automated analysis. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage AI project processes. Collaborate with internal customers and product managers for feature planning and implementation. Utilize statistical methods for data analysis, exploratory data analysis (EDA), and hypothesis testing. Implement machine learning techniques, including deep learning and natural language processing (NLP), to tackle business challenges. Lead model development using supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning algorithms. Create clear and engaging visualizations to effectively communicate complex data insights. Incorporate ethical considerations by addressing bias, fairness, and responsible data handling in model design. Develop interfaces leveraging GenAI capabilities to enhance user experiences. Design APIs for performance and scalability, ensuring usability and governance. Be a thought leader in the field of data science, utilizing your expertise to innovate customer experiences. Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to learn new technologies. Technical Experience: Proficient in Python for advanced data analysis, machine learning models, and data integration. Expertise in data science tools including Python, R, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and other related libraries. Strong understanding of databases such as Postgres, Redshift, and MSSQL. Experience working within cloud environments like Azure, AWS, or GCP. Ability to cleanse and analyze data from diverse sources. Familiarity with data extraction methods from various sources, including databases, files, APIs, and server logs. Preferred Qualifications: Over 4 years of experience in data analytics and machine learning to address business problems using AI. Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with data science tools for developing AI solutions. At least 2 years in a leadership position delivering tangible results. Deep understanding of machine learning techniques, especially in NLP and computer vision. Familiarity with ServiceNow and Salesforce products is a plus. Experience with leading public cloud platforms. Excellent communication skills with the ability to perform under pressure. Strong multitasking and time management skills. Interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across teams. The target base salary range for this role is $105,000 - $112,000. Pay may vary based on knowledge, skills, and experience. Basic Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related IT field. Minimum of 4 years' experience in a data science role. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
