Salary: $27.00 - $30.44 Hourly Location : Conestoga Recreation & Aquatic Center - Beaverton, OR Job Type: Part-time and Seasonal Job Number: 26-00031 Department: CONESTOGA REC & AQ CTR (R) Opening Date: 02/26/2026 Closing Date: 3/31/2026 5:00 PM Pacific Description is hiring a Summer Camp Program Support professional to help deliver high-quality, engaging summer experiences for youth in our community. Position The Summer Camp Program Support (Seasonal) is responsible for implementing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of full-day summer camps at Conestoga Recreation & Aquatic Center. This role works independently, within established guidelines, to lead and instruct the daily activities of full-day Summer Camp programs and provide direction to assigned part-time staff and volunteers. The position receives direct supervision from the Full Day Camp Program Coordinator and limited supervision from programming staff. Schedule This is a seasonal, 10-week position that may be scheduled 36-40 hours per week. The schedule is typically Monday - Friday between the hours of 7 am - 6 pm, but may include some evenings and weekends. The anticipated dates for this position are June 15th to August 21, 2026. Pay The hiring range for this position is $27.00 to $30.44, based on experience and internal equity. The full hourly range for this job classification is $27.00 to $30.44. Staff may be eligible for a merit increase at the end of September. Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Support the planning and daily operation of full-day summer camps, including developing weekly activity schedules, organizing materials and resources, and ensuring camp goals and objectives are met. Provide lead directions to assigned part-time camp staff by assigning and overseeing daily responsibilities, creating staff schedules, delivering training, and offering ongoing coaching and support to maintain a safe, engaging camp environment. Coordinate camp activities, special events, and field experiences with other district programs and staff to ensure seamless program delivery throughout the summer season. Assist in monitoring and evaluating camp effectiveness, gathering feedback, and making adjustments to enhance camper experience and achieve established outcomes. Lead or co-lead camp activities as needed to ensure smooth transitions, active participation, and a positive, inclusive experience for all campers. Actively promote, model, and support diversity, equity, inclusion, and access to create a welcoming and supportive full-day camp environment for participants and staff. Minimum Qualifications Current First Aid and CPR certifications OR willing to obtain within 30 days of hire Valid Oregon Driver's License and an acceptable driving record Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade and two (2) years of relevant experience in summer camp, recreation education, including lived experience. However, they have the option of working additional hours during periods like summer or winter months. SEASONAL: Seasonal employment is temporary and allows employees to work only during certain times of the year, up to 40 hours per week for a maximum duration of six (6) consecutive months. Effective February 15, 2026 the accrual rate for PTO will increase to one (1) hour earned for every 23 hours worked and will include seasonal employees! The ability to accrue paid sick leave at a rate of one (1) hour earned for every 30 hours worked Family Medical Leave eligibility for qualified family and medical related reasons Paid compassionate leave is available to all part-time employees to grieve the loss of an immediate family member, to make arrangements (if necessary), and to attend memorial services.
