Part-Time Crossing Guard (Ongoing Opportunities)

Position Type: Security/Security - Seasonal Date Posted: 2/12/2026 Location: District Wide Works with the Supervisor of Safety & Security to ensure school safety requirements are met for children crossing the street. Typical work hours are between 7:00am and 8:00am and 2:30pm to 4:00pm. Employees who serve in this role are afforded opportunities to support needs on evening and weekend for other school district events as part of the security team for our campus. Required Skills, Knowledge and High school diploma or equivalent Must possess experience communicating with children Must possess good interpersonal relationship skills using tact, patience and courtesy, particularly with respect to children Must have the ability to handle situations that may occur with children at the crossing Must have the ability to deal with dissatisfied individuals Must have good attendance Primary Duties Directs school children to cross the street at the crossing signal Controls vehicular traffic as necessary consistent with the safety of all concerned to assure safe crossing for children Controls traffic when necessary for the safe travel of children Wears safety vest while directing traffic and/or crossing children Instructs all school children to walk at the crossing point Must be dependable and punctual Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or his/her designee EOE
