Advanced Respiratory Therapist, RRT

Join a dedicated healthcare team in the heart of the Midwest as an Advanced Respiratory Therapist. This role involves assessing, implementing, and evaluating respiratory care for a diverse patient population, ensuring clinical excellence and adherence to professional ethics. Education Graduation from a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Care Program is required. Experience At least one year of respiratory therapy experience is preferred to thrive in this role. Certification and Licensure Active credentialing by the National Board for Respiratory Care is highly preferred. Candidates must hold a valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license for their state. Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory. Responsibilities Deliver high-quality respiratory care, including administration of pharmacological, diagnostic, and therapeutic agents within the respiratory scope of practice. Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, monitoring signs and symptoms to improve outcomes and patient safety. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care activities in compliance with healthcare policies. Adhere to safety protocols including infection prevention and safe patient handling. Work independently while collaborating effectively with healthcare team members to enhance patient care. Participate in departmental projects and assist in training new staff and students. Physical and Mental Requirements This position requires considerable mental focus and physical activity such as lifting up to 35 pounds, frequent walking, standing, and various movements including stooping and reaching.
