Job Description Join our dynamic Data Center Build Engineering Team, where we design and construct the vital infrastructure that powers Oracle Cloud Infrastructure across various global regions. We are seeking an enthusiastic Data Center Infrastructure Engineer, someone with a passion for innovation and a drive to excel in the cloud marketplace. In this role, you will collaborate with the data center development team and Oracle vendors to enhance, maintain, and streamline our cloud infrastructure. Duties Coordinate and support the implementation of new and existing Oracle data centers Manage onsite vendor relationships to ensure successful build-out of data center infrastructure Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation regarding cabling and build standards Analyze Bill of Materials to clearly define project scope Create project scopes for vendor quoting Assist in the vendor selection process through bidding Design innovative cabling solutions for new data center builds and expansions Oversee multiple concurrent projects with a focus on efficiency Implement sustainable, simple, and repeatable processes and solutions Collaborate closely with our Program Management team to fulfill project deliverables and enhance customer satisfaction Engage with key project stakeholders throughout the build process Participate in quarterly business reviews with vendors Troubleshoot connectivity issues within cabling infrastructure Contribute to the establishment of global standards for data center cabling and infrastructure Desired Skills Proven experience in designing and deploying physical cabling systems for data centers Familiarity with TIA Data Center Cabling Standards Knowledge of best practices in cabling infrastructure Understanding of network cabling and fiber optic technologies Hands-on experience with bulk fiber optic cabling installation and troubleshooting Expertise in planning all infrastructure within the data center Comprehensive understanding of various infrastructure technologies Track record of effective vendor management across multiple locations Experience with testing equipment such as VFL, power meter, and OTDR Thorough knowledge of Cat 5, Cat 6, and OM1 - OS2 fiber optic cabling systems Familiarity with electrical infrastructure in data center environments Understanding of mechanical infrastructure within colocation data centers Experience developing RFI/RFQ/RFPs for vendor quotations Range and Benefits US: Hiring Range in USD from: $79,100 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
