This position is a member of our Program Support & Environmental Assistance Division. HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BE DOINGPerform technical and/or leadership duties involving analysis, delivery, troubleshooting, maintenance, and documentation of data, processes, and software/hardware requirements for Information Technology (IT) services for the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). Plan, develop, implement, oversee complex Microsoft Power Automate workflows supporting division-wide business processes. Ensure all automation and reporting solutions comply with agency security standards and data governance requirements. Lead and coordinate integration across Microsoft Power Platform Services, including Power Apps and Power BI dashboards and analytical reports. Direct the development of ad hoc data queries to support management related to Incidents, Investigations, and Enforcement as requested. Prepare data reports in response to complaints and public information requests. Assist with the creation and maintenance of BOE Reports. Provide assistance in the design, governance, and modernization of internal and external platforms and SharePoint. Establish standards and best practices for modern SharePoint pages, Lists, Libraries, and Forms to ensure consistency, security, accessibility and long-term sustainability. KEY QUALIFICATIONSExperience working with relational database design and maintenance/support. Experience using Crystal Reports and Business Objects Enterprise. Experience int data management, data summarization, data validation and quality assurance, and data modeling. Experience working with Oracle Databases and Microsoft Access Databases. Experience writing SQL queries (Structured Query Language). Experience working with Power BI, Power Automate, Java and SharePoint. Qualifications: REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Six years of full-time experience in systems administration, business process analysis and modeling, application development or system and application design. OR A master's degree from an accredited college or university, or technical college with a major in computer science, computer information systems management information systems, mathematics or a related field plus three years of the required experience. OR A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or technical college with a major in computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, mathematics or a related field plus four years of required experience. OR Completion of 18 semester hours (27 quarter hours) in computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, mathematics or a related field plus five years of the required experience. Employees in this classification series may research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure, including but not limited to a communication infrastructure system, cybersecurity system, electric grid, hazardous waste treatment system, or water treatment facility. Accordingly, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure is a requirement to be hired for and to continue to be employed with TCEQ.
