The CEI team seeks a seasoned inspector to monitor and oversee complex construction activities at various project sites. As an inspector, you will need to demonstrate expertise in at least two of the five construction categories: Roadway, Bridges, Drainage, Erosion & Control, or Maintenance & Traffic. You will work under either limited or direct supervision depending on your knowledge and experience with the assignments. Key responsibilities entail utilizing your understanding of materials, methods, and equipment related to highway construction, along with the ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts. Primary Responsibilities: Conduct both complex and routine inspections of construction to ensure that the right materials and processes are employed, and that work adheres to established plans and specifications. Employ advanced equipment and intricate calculations for thorough construction inspection. Work under minimal supervision, showcasing your knowledge and competency for the assigned tasks. Review and comprehend drawings to prepare for inspections. Understand the construction designs being inspected and document the results accordingly, keeping communication open with supervisors. Job Title: Senior Construction Inspector for Roadways and Bridges Group: CEI Employment Type: Regular Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required. State Highway Agency or National Entity certifications like ACI (American Concrete Institute) or NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) in earthwork, asphalt, and concrete may be necessary based on client or jurisdiction requirements. Applicant must hold a valid driver's license and possess at least 6 years of relevant experience. Travel may be necessary depending on project demands.
