COVID-19 vaccination is recommended but not required. Flu vaccination will be required October through April. Flu exemption applications must be received and approved by Phoenix Children's prior to starting. Anyone not vaccinated for either Flu or COVID-19 will be required to sign Declination & Masking Protocol agreements and must mask during the full respiratory virus season. Job Summary: Coordinates comprehensive organization-wide infection surveillance, prevention and control program in accordance with current requirements of regulatory, government and accrediting/licensing agencies and organizational policies and procedures. Duties include surveillance for healthcare-associated infections (HAIs); collection, analysis, interpretation and reporting of surveillance data; outbreak investigation; and program evaluation. Education Requirements: B.S. Degree in Nursing, Microbiology, Public Health, Medical Technology, or related field and a related license or certification. Masters in Nursing, Public Health, or related field preferred with a related license or certification preferred Experience Requirements: 3 years of experience in clinical/patient care services or relevant health care position 2 years minimum experience working in Infection Prevention Certification/License/Registry Requirements: Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) certification from the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC).
