Discover a more connected careerAt Ervin Cable Construction, LLC, as a OSP Design Engineer, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement efficient systems and processes, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications. You'll also engage with stakeholders to deliver high-quality results that meet customer needs.Connecting you to great benefits Weekly Paychecks Paid Time Off, Parental Leave, and Holidays Insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance) 401(k) w/ Company Match Stock Purchase Plan Education Reimbursement Legal Insurance What you'll do Coordinate with remote drafting and GIS personnel to produce construction drawings for the network Plan, design, and obtain permits for new cable routes Work as part of a multi-faceted team of engineering, construction, project management, and scheduling personnel, all with a common interest of delivering results to the customer Engage regularly with the customer's engineering team and project management for updates and feedback Provide frequent project progress updates and risk assessments to the management team Design aerial and underground telecommunications plant routes Other duties as assigned What you'll need To be 18 years of age or older Authorization to work in the United States for this company Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, plus at least one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination Proficient with Excel & Word Knowledge of Telecommunications industry standards Regulations for OSP facilities Aerial or underground construction methods and engineering requirements Government permit requirements OSP facilities, construction techniques and conduit records Easement, right of way and permit documents AutoCAD/Microstation or Geographic Information Systems Fiber optic counts, fiber assignments and splicing schematics Physical abilities & exposures Routinely: operate vehicle, walk, use keyboard and mouse Occasionally: climb stairs and stand Why grow your career with usYour career here is more than just a job - it's your pathway to opportunity.
