The role requires proper firearm licensing, strong judgment, professionalism, accurate reporting, coordination with law enforcement, and the ability to remain calm under pressure while providing excellent customer service.Minimum Qualifications Valid Armed Tennessee Security Officer License (or ability to obtain) Age 21 Completion of Armed training and valid pistol permit 1+ years verifiable security, military, or law enforcement experience Duties & ResponsibilitiesSecurity Operations Conduct routine walking patrols and report concerns Monitor access points and verify IDs/credentials Enforce security procedures and Post Instructions Incident Response & Reporting Respond quickly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents Maintain accurate logs of activities and observations Perform routine tasks: lock/unlock doors, manage security systems, monitor surveillance feeds Customer Service & Professionalism Assist visitors and employees professionally Enforce SEI and client policies (smoking, loitering, parking, etc.) Maintain a clean, professional uniform and appearance Required Skills & Abilities Ability to perform in fast-paced, high-stress environments Willingness to work weekends, if needed Strong situational awareness and attention to detail Ability to stay calm and make sound decisions under pressure Basic computer and tablet-reporting skills Physical Requirements Stand or sit for at least 1 hour without support Walk at least ½ mile without stopping Climb 20 commercial stairs without stopping Education & Experience Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent Preferred: 3+ years verifiable security, military, or law enforcement experience Note Duties and requirements are not exhaustive; additional tasks may be assigned based on client or company needs.Security Engineers, Inc.
