Summary: Provide direct patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN or LPN. Minimum Qualifications: Other information: Required Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) - Relevant Specialty; Patient Care Technician - If applicable; OR Reference summary for details; Active CPR certification upon hire or must be obtained within seven days of hire if enrolled in the PCT internship and prior to patient contact or required on hire. Preferred Credentials: EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) Minimum requirements include one of the following: 6 months acute care experience; or 1-year Skilled Nursing Facility experience; or successfully completes a BayCare sponsored Nursing Assistant or PCT Internship; or completion of Nursing Fundamentals (RN); or Nursing Foundation (LPN) Programs; or EMT certification / Paramedic license for ER only; or completed a PCT or Nursing Assistant program which includes a clinical component. Preferred Experience: 1 year - Hospital in related field.
