Description & Requirements The MAXIMUS Enrollment Broker Project is looking for passionate interns who are eager to dive into Health Policy and Statistical/Quantitative Analysis. Join us and enhance your skills while contributing to the Texas Medicaid and CHIP Enrollment Broker project. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in several critical areas, including: Project Assistance: Work closely with Texas EB managers to support various tasks such as taking meeting notes, documenting processes, and ensuring project timelines are met. You'll also engage with client representatives from HHSC. Legislative Research: Keep abreast of Federal and State legislative changes that impact our operations. Conduct research on potential scope expansions and analyze implementations in other states. Attend legislative meetings to broaden your insights. Data Analysis: Collaborate with Operations managers and the Reporting and Operational Research teams on various data projects. Analyze current operations, present your findings, and gather additional data via surveys. Process Improvement: Participate in projects aimed at documenting scope, creating timelines, and researching best practices. Analyze project data and develop actionable recommendations for stakeholders. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide robust data analysis support to project and operations management. Assist with administrative functions and special projects across departments. Tackle moderately challenging assignments and elevate issues to management when necessary. Contribute to ad-hoc reporting efforts. Minimum Requirements Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in a relevant field. Completion of at least 2 years of coursework. Proficient with MS Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Proven ability to excel in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments. Excellent interpersonal communication, teamwork, and customer service skills. This remote internship may involve occasional in-person team meetings/events. The starting salary for this role is $22.00 per hour, based on the intern's responsibilities and relevant experience.
