LAUSD Math Tutor

Title: LAUSD Math Tutor Department: Education Created Date: 12/10/25 Location: Los Angeles, CA Summary: The LAUSD Math Tutor will work in collaboration with our Los Angeles area schools. The tutor is responsible for instruction in small groups with a focus on closing the achievement gap and building a stronger academic foundation. Education and Experience: Experience working with students either as a teacher, tutor or as a resource personnel Understand the need for accurate PLI record keeping and documentation in a timely manner Providing small group instruction Setting and maintaining high expectations for students Executing student goal-setting conferences Collecting and analyzing data Building relationships with students in service of their academic growth Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Growth mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement. Dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Ability to motivate students daily attendance Communicate with PLI management, school staff, and parents. Adhere to all Proximity Learning, Inc timelines and expectations Job Expectation: Must live in the Los Angeles, CA area This is an on site position Must have own Transportation Be willing to work 9 hours per week You will work with a local school in the Los Angeles, CA
