Position Overview As a Restoration and Reconstruction Estimator, you will play a vital role in managing and creating estimates across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. You will meet with clients to develop high-quality, competitive estimates using Xactimate software, overseeing project progress from start to finish while ensuring clear communication about budgets and timelines. This position becomes available to candidates who have successfully completed the required BELFOR training. Responsibilities Establish and nurture relationships within the local area, primarily with insurance adjusters, business owners, schools, and municipalities. Create precise floor plans using Xactimate Sketch. Maintain a strong understanding of applicable building codes. Develop and adhere to project budgets, addressing any variances promptly. Utilize BELFOR naming conventions for estimates, revised estimates, proposals, and change orders. Oversee the construction schedule and collaborate with trades and management to ensure timely completion of projects, identifying solutions when additional resources are necessary. Exhibit proficiency in source removal, decontamination, mitigation, containment, ventilation, contents treatment, and deodorization techniques. Participate in ongoing training through BELFOR University, including basic Xactimate training in preparation for certification tests. Independently manage your workload and ensure vehicle safety and cleanliness. Complete all incident reports in a timely manner. Show strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. Communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to establish BELFOR USA Group, Inc as an industry leader. Comply with company policies and standards. Requirements Develop and maintain a client book relevant to your level as Estimator, Senior Estimator, or higher. Act as the primary contact for owners, adjusters, and consultants, with a focus on scope development and negotiations. Coordinate emergency services as needed, including water, fire, and vandalism damage response. Identify potential site hazards (asbestos, lead paint, mold, etc.) proactively. Conduct yourself with professionalism and courtesy at all times, remaining responsive to inquiries. Apply industry TPA Program standards and ensure adherence to requirements. Work efficiently under time constraints to meet deadlines. Pay meticulous attention to detail, safeguarding the property and information of clients. Attend required operations and safety training sessions. Qualifications Fluency in English. Understanding of MSDS data sheets and their relevance to the job. Proficient in BELFOR estimate format standards for Xactimate. Extensive customer service experience. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and experience with Xactimate. Exhibit a professional demeanor and excellent communication skills on the telephone. Able to work collaboratively with others while maintaining professionalism. Physical Demands Frequent lifting of over 50 lbs without assistance. Sitting for extended durations. Manual dexterity for keyboarding and repetitive tasks.
