Purpose: Join our dedicated team in delivering compassionate and consistent care to residents, while providing essential support to licensed nursing staff with various treatments as needed. Essential Job Functions and Requirements: Work shifts as scheduled with flexibility to adapt to varying hours. Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene. Change bed linens according to the bath schedule or as required. Accurately take and document vital signs in accordance with policy or instructions. Assist residents with mobility in and out of bed as necessary. Reposition residents in bed following facility policies. Help reposition residents while they are out of bed as per facility guidelines. Support residents with oral hygiene, including denture care, during morning wake-up, after meals, bedtime, and as necessary. Respond promptly to call lights based on facility protocol. Complete patient care documentation at the end of each shift, including intake and output records. Prepare Patient Observation Records and Activity Attendance Records for the upcoming month at the end of each month. Collect urine or stool specimens as directed. Administer enemas when instructed. Maintain a clean and orderly patient unit and hallways. Keep patient bedside tables, dressers, and closets tidy and organized. Care for and sanitize nursing equipment such as blood pressure cuffs and thermometers. Adhere to restraint policies, including proper release techniques. Participate in post-mortem care when required. Ensure residents have access to fresh ice water by regularly refilling pitchers throughout the shift. Clean water pitchers, cups, bedpans, and urinals according to established schedules. Prewash any soiled personal clothing or linens before placing them in the laundry. Assist residents with restroom needs or provide support with bedpans or urinals. Empty catheter bags at the end of each shift and record the output accurately. Support rehabilitation efforts, including ambulation and bowel/bladder training, ensuring documentation in the Rehabilitation sheet every shift. Assist charge nurses with resident needs and treatments as required. Ensure clean towels and washcloths are available for each patient in bathrooms at all times, replacing them immediately when used. Empty containers for soiled pads and linens at the end of each shift and replace plastic bags as necessary. Provide a detailed report to oncoming CNAs at the end of your shift. Carry out additional duties as assigned.
