Responsibilities Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and senior patients using a mixture of standardized assessments and observational methods. Craft individualized treatment plans focused on immediate goals alongside long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing outcomes. Deliver tailored speech therapy interventions centered on communication skills, language fluency, voice modulation, and eating/swallowing methods. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and families, to form unified care strategies. Educate patients and their families to enhance progress outside of therapy. Participate in inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions when necessary, promising continuity of care. Ensure comprehensive documentation that complies with state, federal, and organizational standards. Maintain professional growth by staying informed about the latest developments in speech-language pathology through continuing education and peer exchange. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is yet to be obtained. Certifications Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be acquired within 30 days of hire. Skills Adept in evidence-based treatment approaches catering to all age groups, possessing deep knowledge of speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams. Flexibility to adapt therapy methods according to diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong clinical judgment paired with problem-solving abilities.
