Test Automation Engineer

Description: Onsite in Cincinnati, OH Our client is a large U.S. financial institution headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio. The organization operates an extensive branch and ATM network across multiple states and ranks among the largest banks in the country. Its history reflects the merger of predecessor banks and ongoing growth within retail and commercial banking services. Rate: $55.00 to $60.00/hr. w2 Responsibilities: Responsibilities Provide leadership and hands-on expertise in automated testing using open-source tools and best practices. Design, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for web services, data APIs, and data movement. Develop and execute test plans and test cases for Java and Python data APIs and Kafka-based pipelines. Create BDD feature files, scenarios, and step definitions using Cucumber with Gherkin syntax. Develop Selenium-based automation using JUnit or TestNG and implement Maven targets for suite execution. Configure and run automated regression suites within Jenkins CI/CD pipelines. Collaborate within Scrum or Kanban teams, participating in planning, backlog grooming, reviews, retrospectives, and demos. Contribute technical direction across design, development, and testing to improve software quality. Experience Requirements: Experience Requirements Hands-on automation testing for XML and web services using SOAP UI. Comprehensive knowledge of Scrum and Kanban Agile processes and ceremonies. Experience developing BDD tests with Cucumber and Gherkin in customized automation frameworks. Proficiency building Selenium automation frameworks with JUnit or TestNG and Maven. Experience with Java and JavaScript technologies such as Node.js and Angular.js. Experience with Jenkins, Maven, and JUnit for automation and benchmarking. Experience configuring automated regression execution in Jenkins CI/CD pipelines. Proficiency with Selenium WebDriver and Grid for web application regression automation. Experience testing Java and Python data APIs, Kafka data movement, and big data tools. Knowledge of programming languages for automation such as Python, Java, or C++. Python experience (preferred).
