Job Title: Heavy Equipment Repair Technician Location: Various locations Job Overview: Join our team as a Field Mechanic, where you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of heavy equipment and tackle technical challenges. You will be responsible for: Repairing mobile equipment and troubleshooting performance issues. Conducting maintenance and repairs on heavy machinery to ensure optimal operation. Reviewing and implementing maintenance manuals effectively. Identifying and obtaining necessary repair parts and supplies. Documenting maintenance and repair work accurately. Removing and replacing major components in faulty equipment. Assessing equipment failures to determine appropriate solutions. Tracking usage of parts and supplies efficiently. Performing all tasks while adhering to environmental and safety policies. Essential Job Functions: Maintain regular and predictable performance. Work effectively with personal protective equipment in all weather conditions. Access and repair components on heavy equipment with agility. Climb, kneel, stoop, bend, lift, push/pull, and reach frequently. Exhibit coordination and dexterity in handling equipment. Ensure pulmonary fitness for respirator use. Safely handle hazardous materials. Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. 3-5 years of experience in heavy equipment repair. Position Requirements: Commercial Drivers License or ability to obtain one. Ability to pass a DOT Physical. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong collaboration skills and adaptability to fast-paced environments. Employment Type: Full-time hourly position Travel: This position requires up to 95% travel. Base Pay: Hourly rate; Health & fringe benefits according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
