Atlantic Auto Group is currently looking for an Assistant Service Manager. An Assistant Service Manager at an automotive dealership plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the service department. This position supports the Service Manager and acts as a liaison between customers, technicians, and service advisors. The Assistant Service Manager helps oversee the service department's daily operations. This includes assisting customers, managing work orders, coordinating with technicians, and supporting customer satisfaction and department efficiency. Candidates must be able to pass a drug test, background check, and DMV check. Responsibilities Maintains the highest possible standards of workmanship; advises technicians of dealership CSI on a monthly basis Greet customers and assess their vehicle service needs. Explain repair processes and costs to customers clearly and honestly. Handle customer complaints and escalate when needed. Follow up on service performance and ensure satisfaction. Assist in managing the service schedule and dispatching work to technicians. Coordinate between service advisors, technicians, and parts department. Support training of service staff as needed. Assist in enforcing safety and cleanliness in the service area. Manages technician productivity Develops standards of customer treatment and enforces their use; devises special processes for handling comebacks Establishes and maintains an organized and up-to-date customer follow and record system Becomes familiar with and proficient in Reynolds and Reynolds and all other dealership software Forecasts sales, gross profit, and expenses Develops annual service plan for use in connection with annual sales and profit forecast Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications 2-4 years of experience in automotive service, preferably in a dealership setting. Experience in a customer-facing role. Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair processes. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in service management software (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds). Basic understanding of warranty claims processing.
