Join Our Team as a Process Engineer Medtech at Johnson Electric! Location: Vandalia, OH (onsite) Vacancy Type: Existing position Schedule: Full-time As our next Process Engineer Medtech, you'll be at the forefront of developing and implementing automated manufacturing processes for vital-signs monitoring medical devices. Your work will directly support the transition to highly automated, low-touch production lines used to manufacture sensors that support labor and surgical patient monitoring for millions of people worldwide. Your expertise in automation, validation, troubleshooting, and cross-functional engineering support will be essential in driving our success and pushing the boundaries of what's possible. What You'll Be Doing: • Develop and deploy automated production processes and equipment. • Translate manufacturing requirements into technical specifications. • Lead IQ/OQ/PQ, fixture validations, and test-method validations. • Conduct pilot builds and resolve production issues. • Maintain work instructions, routers, BOM accuracy, and digital workflows. • Optimize electronic material flow and reduce manual WIP transactions. • Support maintenance via troubleshooting and repair of automated equipment. • Manage and track spare parts, tooling, and components. • Lead waste-reduction and automation-based improvements. • Conduct time studies, develop standard work, and support operator training. • Lead cross-functional engineering projects. What We're Looking For: • Engineering or technical degree. • 3+ years of manufacturing experience (5 preferred). • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capabilities. • Experience with PLCs, automated equipment, and fixtures. • Experience with routers, workflow documentation, and ERP material flows. Bonus Points If You Have: • Experience with MasterControl or MES systems. • Oracle ERP experience (BOMs, routings). • Mechanical design skills (SolidEdge preferred). • DOE, SPC, FMEA, and root-cause analysis expertise. • Experience with industrial robots (KUKA, Yaskawa). • Controls experience (Keyence, Allen-Bradley). • IIoT, SCADA, or digital manufacturing familiarity.
