About the job Punch Press Operator We are hiring a Punch Press Operator for our client in Kennesaw, Georgia. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience working in operating punch presses or sheet metal production and must be mechanically inclined. Qualifications: • Minimum of 2+ years Punch Brake Press operator experience • Proven experience within the metal fabrication field • Experience operating forklift • Ability to be on your feet all day and lift up to 50lbs repetitively Job Duties: • Calculation, setup and qualification of bend profiles according to spec • Start-up, and program brake presses • Select and install proper tooling based on bend requirements • Operate crane to assist with forming, as required Job Requirements: • Properly follow instructions and communicate effectively • Work effectively with minimal supervision • Maintain a strict adherence to safe practices at all times • Ensure and check machinery for proper function, alerting supervisor of any issues • Flexibility to assist where needed • Able to work overtime, as required • Ability to properly prioritize and multitask • Perform planned machine maintenance, as required • Effectively troubleshoot and repair issues as they arise • Ability to effectively use various measuring devices for quality control observance • High attention to detail Additional Assets/ Experience: • CNC Plasma Cutting • CNC Laser Cutting • CNC machining • Manual milling • Welding Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
