Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CT Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity:Cat Scan Tech - Cat Scan Tech Job Details:• Work night shifts Thursday, Friday, Saturday from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM• Must be flexible with work hours to meet department needs• Perform wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative• Set up equipment to provide imaging services and position patients for procedures• Verify proper clinician orders and obtain complete clinical history• Administer contrast media following established procedures• Review CT/radiographic images for clinically acceptable results• Respond to emergency situations and maintain life support equipment• Demonstrate competence in age-appropriate patient care procedures• Use critical thinking skills and seek clarification on ambiguous orders• Maintain competency with venipuncture and sterile technique• Adjust technique to minimize radiation dose while maintaining image quality• Clean, disinfect and maintain equipment according to infection control policies• Transport and position patients, assist with on/off procedure table• Take call when necessary• Required certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), BLS• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology required• Less than 1 year CT experience preferred• Must complete accredited program in Radiologic Technology• Excellent communication and customer service skills required• Ability to work independently and under pressure in team environment Facility:This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive imaging department providing diagnostic services with state-of-the-art CT equipment and technology.
