Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring for a Cardio Surgical Tech in Bradenton, FL. Apply today if you meet the qualifications listed below!Location: Bradenton, FLDuration: Direct HirePay rate range: $44,400 - 55,560KThe Surgical Technician will assist with various types of surgical procedures. They willcollaborate closely with Nurses and other Surgical Technologists to communicate with patientsbefore and after surgery and ensure their health throughout procedures. They will assist inproviding quality care to the surgical patient. Responsible for the general maintenance ofequipment, room and supplies under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Performs scrubduties and assists in maintenance of instruments, equipment, and supplies. Alwaysdemonstrates service excellence. Other duties as assigned.JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES:• Prepare and organize the operating room equipment, instruments, and supplies as requiredfor various surgical procedures• Checks patient’s chart, identifies patient, verifies surgery to be performed with consentforms, and brings the patient to the assigned operating room• Anticipate surgeon and patient needs during a procedure• Take care of specimens, prepare, check, and monitor medications, and assist with dressings• Opens sterile supplies, sets up a sterile and aseptic environment, and maintains the sterilefield during procedure• Utilize correct body mechanics in moving, transporting, and positioning patients, stretchers,and/or tables to prevent injury to patients and personnel• Follow relevant safety and sanitation guidelines• Participate in orientation and education of all operating room staff on an ongoing basis• Participate in stocking and restocking medical supplies• Inspect, replace, and sterilize medical instruments• Provide surgeons and patients with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment• Assesses comfort and safety measures and provides verbal and tactile reassurance to thepatient• Assists anesthesia personnel• Applies electrosurgical grounding pads, tourniquets, monitors, etc. before the procedurebegins• Prepares the patient’s skin before draping by the surgical team• Performs appropriate counts with the registered nurse before the operation and before theincision is closed• Anticipates additional supplies needed during the procedure• Performs other duties as assignedSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize assignments• Knowledge of Radiologic equipment uses and maintenance• Ability to manage emotional and stressful situations professionally while remaining calm• Must be compassionate and personable• Strong attention to detail• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly• Excellent oral and written communication skills• Proficient ability to use a computer and electronic medical record• Maintain patient, team member, and employer confidentiality by complying with all HIPAAregulations• Customer service oriented• Meticulous• Ability to adapt easily to changing conditions and work responsibilities• Display a positive attitude and is a positive agent for change• Work as part of a team and collaborate with co-workers• Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situationsREQUIREMENTS & PREFERENCES:• High school Diploma or GED minimum• Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist program (CAAHEP or ABHES) with CSTcertification OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification required• Must have at least 2 years of experience in a Healthcare Facility as a Surgical Technologistpreferred OR previous Cath Lab, Electrophysiology, or Invasive Vascular experience• Current BLS Certification requiredPay Details: $44,000.00 to $55,560.00 per yearEqual Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledMilitary connected talent encouraged to applyTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable: The California Fair Chance Act Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance Massachusetts Candidates Only: It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
