Job specification Candidate requirements Job specification Clinical Leadership & Unit Oversight: Lead and manage the daily operations of the Mother Baby / Obstetrics Unit. Ensure safe, high-quality, and family-centered care is delivered consistently across all shifts. Staff Supervision & Development: Recruit, supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing and support staff. Develop staff schedules, manage coverage, and ensure proper staffing levels. Quality Improvement & Patient Safety: Monitor patient care metrics and develop action plans to address gaps or areas for improvement. Ensure staff complete the Management of Aggressive Behavior training within 90 days of hire. Administrative & Operational Leadership: Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, and resource management for the unit. Analyze workflow and recommend innovations to improve clinical efficiency and operational outcomes. Candidate requirements Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field. Licensure: Current and valid California Registered Nurse (RN) License - upon hire. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) - from the American Heart Association, upon hire. California Fire and Life Safety Card - to be obtained within 30 days of hire. Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) - to be completed within 90 days of hire.
