Field Service Technician Location: Sheboygan, WI Job Type: Hourly, up to 90% travel Industry: Machinery Manufacturing About the Company : trusted provider of automated packaging systems, offering full-line, turnkey solutions to enhance packaging efficiency. They specialize in user-friendly premade pouch packing machines, cost-effective VFFS baggers, high-speed vertical baggers, and multilane stick packaging machines, serving diverse industries such as food products and pharmaceuticals. About the Role: We are seeking 4 Field Service Technicians to provide exceptional technical service, training, and support to our customers. This is a high-priority position with one role based in Texas and three positions located near major airports (Chicago, Indianapolis, Detroit, etc.) to facilitate travel. The job involves 80-90% travel, requiring flexibility for domestic and occasional international assignments. These roles involve on-site troubleshooting, maintenance, and installations with a focus on ensuring smooth operations for both existing and prospective customers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, maintain service documentation, and utilize ERP tools to ensure accurate reporting. The ideal candidates will possess both mechanical and electrical expertise and excel in customer service. Key Responsibilities: Provide on-site installation, maintenance, and repair services during field visits. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems and resolve service-related issues efficiently. Collaborate with internal teams (production, service, and project management) to deliver high-quality service. Maintain detailed and timely service reports, logs, and documentation. Utilize ERP tools to track service actions and generate customer experience reports. Understand and respond to customer needs, offering recommendations as appropriate. Cultivate positive, long-term customer relationships. Uphold company protocols and maintain compliance with field service standards. Compensation: Base pay: $26-$36/hour, depending on experience. In-plan compensation: Additional $15/hour while working with customers. Overtime pay: Saturday overtime and regular overtime available. Qualifications: High School Diploma required; Technical Diploma preferred; Bachelor's degree is a plus. 2+ years of relevant experience in a technical service role. Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot electrical wiring. Mechanical proficiency and experience working with machinery. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook). Familiarity with ERP systems for tracking and reporting purposes. Strong customer service and organizational skills. Valid driver's license with no major violations in the last 3 years. Willingness to travel up to 90% annually, including weekends and international travel (less than 10%). Additional Information: Business Hours: Monday through Friday, with flexibility for weekend travel as needed. Location: One role in Texas, three near major airports (Chicago, Indianapolis, or Detroit). Travel: Extensive travel up to 90%, with some international assignments.
