Job Purpose: - The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients during Shift 1. The role is integral to supporting the healthcare team by assisting with patient care activities, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment, and promoting the overall well-being of patients. Key Responsibilities: - Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and feeding. - Monitor and report changes in patients' conditions to the nursing staff. - Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control policies. - Support patients' mental and emotional needs by engaging in therapeutic communication and activities. - Document patient care activities accurately and timely in accordance with the center's policies. - Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement individualized care plans. - Assist in the transportation of patients within the facility as needed. - Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. Required Education: - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program Required Experience: - Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a healthcare setting - Experience in a behavioral health environment is preferred Required Skills and Abilities: - Strong understanding of patient care practices and procedures - Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members - Proficient in basic computer skills, including electronic medical records - Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team - Excellent organizational and time-management skills - Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care - Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and calmness LifeStream Benefits Health/Dental/Vision Insurance Short Term Disability Pension Plan 403(b) PTO (Over 4 weeks your 1st year!)
