Job DescriptionAutoCAD Specialist - TelecomTitan Fiber, Inc.Nashville, TNOverview: Rapidly expanding fiber engineering firm based in Nashville is seeking an AutoCAD specialist to join our team. You will be joining a team located in the heart of "Music City" with decades of experience in the engineering and construction of fiber transport and access networks across the United States. This position will be responsible for creating network maps, construction prints, BOM's, and analyzing data sets. We are seeking someone that would like to help shape the direction of the AutoCAD department within the firm. You will work directly with the professional engineer and senior management team to develop processes, workflows, and help build and lead a team of AutoCAD professionals. This role will specifically focus on designing FTTH (Fiber to the Home) networks. Pay and Benefits: Competitive salary based on experience 401k matching Medical, dental, and life insurance Training and continuing education opportunities Hybrid work opportunities may be available Responsibilities and Duties: Design, develop, and modify fiber optic network maps utilizing industry standard AutoCAD tools. Create construction prints from the network design. Generate BOM from network maps. Create detailed drawings for construction and permitting. Develop scripts to automate the data entry and extraction processes. Create and document processes for the AutoCAD team. Occasionally visit work sites for data collection and validation. Requirements and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field with a focus on AutoCAD or an associate degree and relevant work experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience with AutoCAD tools. Proficient with Microsoft Office tools. Written and oral communication skills with the ability to interact directly with clients, construction crews, city and state permitting departments. Knowledge of or the desire to learn telecom outside plant design methods and procedures. Experience with Python scripting. Experience creating AutoCAD drawings for project details or permits. Ability to train office personnel on best practices of using AutoCAD tools. Desire to become a subject matter expert within the organization.
