Speech therapists develop treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognitive and communication abilities, and to decrease aspirations. Communication treatment plans may include techniques that not only help the individual to be better understood, but also to help them better understand others. Leads, guides and directs the delivery of speech language pathology and audiology services in the facility in accordance with local, state and federal regulations, standards and established facility policies and procedures to provide appropriate care and services to residents. The Speech-Language Pathologist must possess: • valid, unrestricted license in his/her therapy discipline in the state. • Meet educational requirements of his/her licensure requirements. • Valid driver's license in the state of employment. • Knowledgeable of skilled nursing home regulations, procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to long-term care. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS 2 years of SLP experience - Preferred LTC or Rehab experience - Preferred CPR- Required MO State License - Required CCC certified SLP - Required CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS CPR STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS Missouri Compact Allowed ABOUT THE FACILITY Atrium Place Health & Rehabilitation is a busy 120 bed skilled nursing and post-acute rehabilitation facility with a compassionate and dedicated nursing team and a fun, high energy in-house therapy team. We see a wide variety of orthopedic and neurological diagnoses and both short term rehab patients as well as long term care residents. We are a newly formed healthcare company whose goal is to become the premier inpatient rehab provider in the communities we serve. We utilize modalities and equipment through ACP. We seek a PTA who is a self-motivated healthcare professional with a passion for thinking out of the box, developing patient center clinical programming, and providing outstanding care to meet the diverse needs of our patients.
