Currently seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to fill an opening with a high-end residential general contractor located in NYC. The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience in managing condo, townhouse and brownstone projects in New York City boroughs. Interested candidates should have at least 5 years of PM experience, and at least 2-3 years of that must be on high end and luxury residential work with a general contractor or construction management firm. Responsibilities of the Site Supervisor Responsible for overseeing work of all trades (site work, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, steel, etc.) Effectively manage on-site activities from demolition through to final punch list. Manages staff and subcontractors by evaluating, monitoring and controlling performance. Works with Project Manager to meet construction budget by monitoring project expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions. Accomplishes construction project results by managing project purpose and scope; calculating resources required; establishing standards and protocols; allocating resources; scheduling and coordinating staff and subcontractors; evaluating milestone assumptions and conclusions; resolving design problems; evaluating and implementing change orders. Prevents fines and interruptions by complying with, and enforcing codes. Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations Requirements of the Site Supervisor Minimum 5 years of Boston site supervisor experience required 3 years of luxury residential experience preferred Must possess the knowledge and experience to direct construction-related personnel and interact with clients while successfully planning, coordinating and safely executing the work in accordance with the contract documents, schedule and budget. “Hands on” type, equally adept at managing a clean and safe job site and also contributing to the trades. Carpentry background preferred.
