In this role, you'll perform precision welding on aluminum materials and contribute to producing high-quality components. What You'll Do as a TIG Welder: Perform TIG welding on aluminum materials, utilizing precise heat control and filler metal to create strong and aesthetically appealing welds Clean and prepare aluminum surfaces for welding, removing contaminants or impurities Examine and verify the integrity of aluminum materials to ensure quality standards Set up and adjust welding equipment, including torch, gas flow, and amperage Inspect finished welds for defects using visual and non-destructive testing methods Safely handle and move aluminum materials and welded components Monitor the manufacturing process to maintain workflow and address inefficiencies Accurately record production data in Epicor, machine settings, and maintenance activities What You Need to Bring to the TIG Welder Role: High school diploma required; technical secondary education preferred 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment Experience in TIG welding and MIG welding Ability to read and interpret welding symbols, blueprints, and engineering drawings Familiarity with different grades and types of aluminum and their welding requirements Ability to read, write, and comprehend plant directives in English Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations Why You'll Like Working with Doherty Staffing SolutionsEnjoy weekly pay, access to health coverage options through Benefits in a Card (including preventative and minimum value plans), and temp-to-hire opportunities for long-term stability where applicable.
