Job Summary: The Rehab Therapy Supervisor is responsible for the daily operation in a specialty area/site; administers all aspects of patient care and management in compliance with department policies and procedures; assists in administering the department Quality Improvement Program within PM&R. Coordinates and participates in the interviewing, orientation and training of all staff; interacts with medical staff regarding patients' needs; assists with updating and recommending development of revised/new policies and procedures; organizes and coordinates activity in specialty treatment areas; serves as a member of committees for the department and Upstate. Responsible for informing the clinical director/associate director of inter-working of specialty area. Supervision of this position is minimal; supervises subordinates. Responsible for supervision of OT staff in Downtown acute care. Minimum Qualifications: NYS Licensed & Registered (or eligible) Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Language Pathologist, degree required for licensure, and four years experience to include one year in a leadership role required. CPR-BLS certification required at time of appointment. Preferred Qualifications: NYS Licensed & Registered (or eligible) Occupational Therapist preferred.
