Job DescriptionWe are looking for an Industrial Automation Specialist (Switchgear & Motor Control Centers) to join our Rexel USA team in Denver, CO!Summary:The Industrial Automation Specialist position is responsible for the growth of sales and customer application pre-sales and post-sales support for a specific group(s) of automation products and services.We are hiring an Industrial Automation Specialist to drive industrial sales and grow Rexel’s business within our APR. This role focuses on quoting and delivering power distribution and motor control centers across industrial accounts, supporting project execution, and building strong customer relationships.Key responsibilities: Lead industrial sales efforts to identify opportunities and grow Rexel business within the APR.Prepare accurate low- and medium-voltage equipment quotations, including: Motor Control Centers (MCCs)SwitchgearSwitchboardsTransformersVariable Frequency Drives (VFDs) Collaborate with customers to scope requirements, provide technical recommendations, and develop tailored solutions that meet performance, budget, and timeline expectations.Coordinate with vendors and internal teams (sales, procurement, engineering, and operations) to secure pricing, lead times, and technical documentation.Support project lifecycle from proposal through delivery and commissioning, ensuring effective handoff and on-time execution.Perform technical reviews, single-line drawings verification, and application sizing for motor control and power distribution equipment.Maintain and grow key account relationships, conduct regular customer engagement, and drive repeat business.Stay current with product offerings, industry standards, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliant, competitive solutions.Provide commercial input for bids, manage margins, and pursue win strategies to meet sales targets. What You'll Do: Meet or exceed sales goals of assigned technology offerDevelop sales strategies, promotions, programs, and plans for sales growthDevelop annual performance goals, objectives, and sales action plansPrepare periodic sales funnel, weekly sales reports, etc.Provide technical support for internal and external customers via on-site visit, phone, and email. This could include, but is not limited to troubleshooting products, finding technical documentation and specifications, product selection and, other requested activitiesEstablish relationships with sales and customers to better understand sales potentialAscertain customer needs by customer visits, phone, and other means of research (internet, etc.)Work with sales to establish joint strategies and activitiesProvide expert knowledge to Inside Sales to facilitate quoting, order entry, and order expeditingCreate and present technical and commercial training for internal and external customersDescribe or demonstrate product to customersFollow up on all business leads assigned by management, marketing, technical department, or supplier partnersAcquire, use, and continuously develop personal technical knowledgeProvide oral and/or written quotations, proposals or estimates of prices, scope of work, terms, and deliveryWork with prospective customers to move projects through the sales cycle to conclusionProperly prepare for sales calls, customers events, etc.Work with Purchasing on proper inventory of high-tech products and identify any potential obsolesce problemsActively participate in appropriate industry groupsOther duties as assigned Job Duties Disclaimer:The information contained in this job description is intended to describe the essential job functions required of those assigned to this job. Qualifications: QualificationsWhat You'll Need 5+ years of equivalent experienceElectrical distribution industry or related experience requiredValid Driver’s LicenseHigh School or GED - Required4 Year / Bachelor's Degree - Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Intermediate/advanced computer skills, specifically with Excel/Outlook/WordAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, blueprints, or governmental regulationsAbility to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manualsAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from small groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general publicAbility to practice good interpersonal relations, using tact, courtesy, a positive attitude toward customers and co-workers, pleasant communication etiquette, and a general attitude as a representative of goodwill on behalf of the company at work or during company travelAbility to develop and present specialized instruction concerning the specific high-tech equipment in the assigned area of responsibility Desired skills and experience: Proven experience in industrial sales or application engineering for power distribution and motor control systems.Strong knowledge of low- and medium-voltage switchgear, switchboards, transformers, MCCs, and VFDs.Familiarity with quoting tools, BOM preparation, and vendor collaboration.Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.Excellent customer-facing and negotiation skills.Project-oriented mindset with experience coordinating cross-functional teams.Relevant technical qualifications or certifications preferred (electrical engineering, power systems, or similar).
