Learn More AND Community Employment Program (CEP) assists adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in finding employment that fits both their goals and needs. The role of PS2 is to support individuals with disabilities in engaging with their community through Supported Employment and Community Inclusion specialized support services, which include assistance with learning job skills, gaining employment, and maintaining employment through job coaching and onsite check ins with participants and employers, as well as building relationships with the local business community and creating customized job opportunities for participants of the program. The PS2 assists the CEP Program Manager with ensuring that contractual obligations with King County are maintained through Individual Service Plans, annual paperwork, and staff training, and assists with preparing for audits by King County and CARF (Commission on Accreditation and Rehabilitation Facilities). The PS2 is the primary contact for Community Inclusion (CI) services through King County. Primary responsibilities include the following: Provide program information and develop/maintain ongoing partnerships. Represent CEP on campus and in the community. Engage with local businesses, set up informational meetings, and develop leads on possible employment/inclusion sites in the community. Provide information and resources to program clients. Determine clients' job skills/interests through individual employment assessment process. Utilize traditional and non-traditional methods of job matching to securing employment. or community inclusion. Negotiate job accommodations with employer, support at interviews, assist with hiring paperwork, and job stabilization.? Meet contractual obligations through Individual Service Plans, annual paperwork, and staff training. Assist with preparation for King County and CARF audits for accreditation. Conduct frequent on site check-ins with participants to maintain employment, employer relations, and Job Coach support. Act as a a resource for coworkers and manager. Ensure client has adequate support. Responsible for maintaining CI contract, procedures, processes, requirements, updates, training, and interacting with King County, CRM's, and other stakeholders. QualificationsRequired Education & Experience: Associate's degree from an accredited institution AND Two (2) years of related work experience OR equivalent education/experience Licensing Requirement: Clear Criminal Background Check (no previous felony convictions plus no restrictions in working with vulnerable populations per Washington State DSHS requirements) Valid Washington State driver's license; clean driving record (maximum of one (1) moving violation in the last twelve (12) months), no suspension/revocation of license (for reckless driving, hit and run, leaving an accident scene, failure to appear, DUI, or other vehicle-related felony in the last five (5) years) Personal vehicle with insurance NOTE: If selected for an interview, you will be required to submit a current driving abstract (no more than one (1) month old) to meet the licensing requirement. Conditions of EmploymentPhysical Work Environment: The College provides services both online and in-person. Administrators are assigned to work on campus, noting there may be some opportunities to work remotely based on program or area needs. If authorized for limited remote work, employees will need to provide their own workspace and internet access, noting the College will provide technical equipment and support for online work needs. When working on-campus, this position will perform work in a standard office setting, use standard office equipment and physically attend meetings both on and off campus, using the ability to communicate in person or through appropriate means. This position also works weekends and evenings when appropriate or needed is required. Terms Of Employment/Salary: This position is allocated to pay range 42 under the Washington State Office of Financial Management higher education salary schedule. Salary placement for new employees is determined by the College. This position works 40 hours per week, with a schedule dependent upon department needs.
