Snapshot / Role Overview We're seeking a temporary AutoCAD Drafter in Wilmington, DE to produce construction drawings and support project teams with design coordination for commercial mechanical projects. Impact • Enable accurate field installations by producing clear, coordinated construction drawings • Support project success by delivering drawing packages on schedule • Reduce field conflicts through proactive coordination with architectural and structural plans • Improve project efficiency by maintaining organized drawing files and revision control Responsibilities • Prepare mechanical construction drawings using AutoCAD including plans, sections, and details • Coordinate mechanical layouts with architectural, structural, and electrical drawings • Incorporate design changes and revisions based on input from engineers and project managers • Create equipment schedules, piping isometrics, and material takeoff drawings • Maintain drawing standards, layer conventions, and file management protocols • Collaborate with engineers and designers on layout optimization and constructability • Produce shop drawings and submittal packages as required • Assist with quantity takeoffs and material ordering support • Update as-built drawings based on field changes and redlines Requirements Must-Haves • 2+ years of AutoCAD drafting experience, preferably in mechanical or construction industry • Proficiency in AutoCAD software with strong technical drawing skills • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications • Understanding of HVAC, plumbing, or piping systems design • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Nice-to-Haves • Experience with Revit or other BIM software platforms • Familiarity with construction coordination and clash detection processes • Associate degree in Drafting, CAD Technology, or related field • Knowledge of mechanical codes and installation practices Call to Action If you're ready to advance your career in mechanical construction, apply today or connect with us to learn more.
