Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire Location: Green Bay, WI (100% Onsite) Department: Human Resources / Accounting Salary: $65,000 annually Schedule Allocation: Approximately 30 hours Human Resources / 10 hours Accounting Position SummaryThe HR Manager with Accounting Support is a hybrid role responsible for overseeing all Human Resources functions while providing accounting support to the finance team. This full-time, onsite position plays a critical role in payroll processing, benefits administration, recruiting, employee relations, and HR compliance, while also assisting with accounts payable/receivable and general accounting tasks. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining strict confidentiality across both HR and financial responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Human Resources (Primary Focus - ~30 hours/week) Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time. Maintain employee personnel files, ensuring records are complete, current, and properly organized. Administer employee benefits including health, life, supplemental insurance, EAP, vision reimbursement, and 401(k) enrollment. Manage benefits enrollment, changes, and open enrollment processes. Oversee the full recruiting lifecycle: posting positions, tracking applicants, scheduling interviews, conducting interviews, reference checks, preparing offer letters, and onboarding paperwork. Conduct new hire orientation and ensure all required documentation is completed within the first three days of employment. Review, update, and maintain the employee handbook and ensure policy compliance. Ensure all job descriptions are current and accurate. Manage employee recognition programs. Handle employee relations matters and partner with supervisors to ensure appropriate documentation and resolution. Prepare termination paperwork and conduct exit interviews. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Maintain a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion. Perform additional HR-related duties as assigned. Accounting Support (Secondary Focus - ~10 hours/week) Research and respond to customer and vendor inquiries. Enter, match, and reconcile vendor invoices and statements. Process vendor payments including checks, ACH, and credit cards. Process customer payments, credits, and RTVs. Enter general ledger and bank transactions. Maintain and digitize accounting documentation, including invoices and pack slips. Assist the Senior Accountant with month-end close activities. Provide accounting support to management as needed. Perform additional accounting or office-related tasks as assigned. Position Requirements Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, payroll, and benefits administration. Working knowledge of accounting principles, including accounts payable and receivable. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and shift priorities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to learn new systems and identify process improvements. Ability to maintain confidentiality across sensitive HR and financial information. High level of professionalism, tact, and discretion. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of four (4) years of Human Resources experience required. Minimum of two (2) years of accounting experience preferred. Specialized training in employment law, compensation, employee relations, or organizational development preferred. PHR or higher HR certification preferred but not required. Physical DemandsThe employee may be required to sit for extended periods, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or lift up to 20 pounds. Vision abilities include close vision and the ability to work at a computer for prolonged periods. Work EnvironmentThis position is performed in a professional office environment that is adequately lit, temperature controlled, and typically quiet to moderate. Occasional participation in company events or limited travel may be required.
