Position Status: Full-Time & Part-TimeUpstate Community Medical, PC is seeking an experienced and compassionate Certified Nurse- Midwife (CNM) or Certified Midwife (CM) to join our growing OBG Hospitalist team. Our OBG Hospitalist team, comprised of physicians and CNM’s, is dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care, and are looking for a CNM/CM who is passionate about supporting women’s health and delivering exceptional care in the hospital setting at Upstate Community Hospital.Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive obstetrical care for patients in the hospital setting, including labor and delivery and postpartum. Collaborate with OBG physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Attend deliveries, including vaginal births and cesarean sections as a first assistant, as needed. Conduct routine and emergency assessments, including physical exams, diagnostic tests, and patient history. Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with UCM and UUH policies and procedures. Engage in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with best practices in obstetrical care. Qualifications: Certification as a Nurse-Midwife (CNM) or Midwife (CM) by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB). Valid NYS RN and CNM license for CNMs or a CM license Minimum of 2-3 years of experience preferred in a hospital setting, with a focus on labor and delivery. Strong clinical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC. Additional certifications or training in fetal monitoring and cesarean first assist is preferred.
