Under general supervision of the Chief of Police at the California Exposition & State Fair, and as an employee, incumbents will perform the duties of a Non-Sworn Police Assistant at the annual California Exposition & State Fair as well as all other events held and operated on the facility grounds. Incumbents will provide and assist in the safety and security of staff, vendors, contractors and the general public through ID checks, completing reports and to conduct and complete other related duties for the orderly operation of the facility. You will find additional information about the job in the Duty Statement . Working Conditions Required to carry a cell phone. Works near fast-moving machinery or traffic. Periodic Overtime. Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting. May be exposed to extreme temperatures, airborne dust, fumes, vapors, chemicals, medical waste and blood borne pathogen.
