Job Summary: The Pre-owned Director is primarily responsible for supervising and motivating salespeople, acquiring vehicles and maintaining a marketable inventory of vehicles, and developing strategies to drive sales. Supervisory Responsibilities - Overseas members on the Pre-owned Sales Team. Duties/Responsibilities: Acquire vehicles and maintaining a marketable inventory of vehicles. Collaborate with dealership General Managers to forecast goals and objectives for the sales departments. Support in preparing and administering a growth minded strategy. Lead weekly sales action meetings and attend management meetings Support dealership in recruiting, hiring, training, motivating, counseling, and monitoring the performance of all pre-owned sales employees. Develop and organize a training schedule, as directed by the GMs, to ensure that each sales team member completes role specific training. Guide sales teams in setting their department and individual objectives on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis. Assist sales team with meetings, proposals, and follow-up to grow sales. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent communication skills both oral, written, and electronic. Outstanding organizational skills Service-oriented, ability to stay calm even when dealing with difficult customers. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, and other electronic communications such as email, text, video calls, etc. Inventory control software Education and Experience: 10 years luxury/highline automotive experience preferred. 5 years of experience working as a sales manager for a dealership preferred. 2 years leading a high performing sales team preferred. Experience in F&I is highly desired but not a requirement. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. A valid in-state driver's license. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, stoop, squat, twisting upper body, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
