Gate House Attendant

PURPOSE OF ROLE: Facilitate all inbound and outbound truck traffic for the campus. Check in/out trucks and direct them to the appropriate dock door/yard location, as scheduled within warehouse management system. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Check in/out, via warehouse management system, all trucks entering/leaving the campus. Act as a liaison and Maintain radio communication with Warehouse and Drivers Direct trucks to appropriate scale location and record data in warehouse management system. Collaborate with Warehouse Supervisor for open and available dock door space. Collect/Sign/Date/ completely fill out any required paperwork for each load. Enter any required data point in the warehouse management system. Good housekeeping and organizational skills and follow safety policies. Must be able to follow work instructions and safety policies. Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner Identify any damage or abnormalities with equipment and report to immediate supervisor. Perform any additional tasks given by the Supervisor. Report any suspicious activity to the supervisor. KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal skills. Functional knowledge of warehouse environment. Able to follow instructions given for daily tasks. Considerate and respectful to coworkers. Good math, language, and reading skills Basic computer skills required EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma/GED PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Sitting at a desk for extended periods of time. Ability to work in varying temperatures, and outside weather conditions depending upon season.
