Job Details Our staffing agency is partnering with our client, Mathias Properties, to find an experienced and dependable HVAC Maintenance Technician to join their property maintenance team in Springdale, AR. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HVAC Maintenance Technician who takes pride in quality workmanship, problem-solving, and providing reliable service across residential or commercial properties. The HVAC Maintenance Technician will play a key role in ensuring heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems are operating efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards. As an HVAC Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC systems, with a strong focus on troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. This role requires hands-on experience in HVAC service, including electrical and refrigeration diagnostics. The HVAC Maintenance Technician will work independently at times and must be comfortable managing multiple service tasks while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities Perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, including heat pumps and air handlers. Diagnose HVAC system issues by testing refrigeration systems, electrical circuits, and components for continuity using appropriate electrical test equipment. Repair or service HVAC units to improve system efficiency, such as changing filters, servicing thermostats, checking refrigerant levels, and inspecting system performance. Respond to service requests and troubleshoot HVAC-related issues in a timely and effective manner. Maintain accurate service records, inspections, and maintenance documentation. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, EPA standards, and company policies. Use power tools and HVAC-specific equipment safely and effectively. Communicate clearly with supervisors, property management, and other maintenance team members. Work in various weather conditions and environments, including rooftops, mechanical rooms, and confined spaces. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of HVAC service technician experience (preferred). Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required). Active EPA certification (required). Proven experience with the operation and maintenance of heat pumps and air handlers. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills related to heating and air systems. Ability to multitask and manage service priorities effectively. Physical stamina to work in demanding environments and diverse weather conditions. Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 40 pounds. Skilled in the use of power tools and HVAC equipment.
